NSA REQUIREMENTS FOR PARTICIPATION
Failure of a team to meet ALL of these requirements will result in that team not being allowed to race.
1. Clubs sending a team (ONE TEAM PER CLUB ONLY) to this event, MUST notify the Event Chairperson NO LATER THAN JULY 5th) of their intention. Failure to do so, may result in the team not being allowed to race. Teams will be accommodated on a first come first served basis of one per region until July 2nd after which the remaining spots will be filled from the list in order of entry. It is intent of host to allow in eight teams , if demand exists. In accordance with the US Sailing Notice of Race for this event, an individual may compete in ONLY ONE of the following events: Sears, Bemis, or Smythe. NSA race requirements state that failure to comply with this rule may result in loss of competition privileges or loss of standing for the team*.
2. Age – men and women 13 – 18 years of age in the calendar year.
3. Each team participant MUST be a member of US Sailing (member ID number is required)and be a member of that yacht club or sailing association sponsoring them. That YC or SA must be in good standing in the NSA.
4. Each team MUST bring to the regatta the following:
(a) a NSA or US SailingJunior Race Entry Form, legibly completed and including all necessary information for all team members (including alternate), and SIGNED BY A FLAG OFFICER OR AN ADULT RESPONSIBLE FOR THE TEAM.
(b) a completed Medical Form for EACH participant (including alternate) attached to the Entry Form and submitted to the Event Chairman no later than the skippers’ meeting.
(c) a US Coast Guard approved life jacket with a whistle attached, which they MUST wear.
Failure to comply with any or all of the above, may result in the team not being allowed to race.
5. NOTE: "It is intended that decisions made by the protest committee are non
appealable in accordance with RRS 70.5 and the US Sailing prescription to that rule.
