The NSA Bemis Championship is a stand alone regatta. The NSA Regionals and the NSA Championship are no longer the first and second rungs in the US Sailing Doublehanded Championship (Bemis) ladder.

NSA REQUIREMENTS FOR PARTICIPATION
Failure of a team to meet ALL of these requirements will result in that team not being allowed to race.
1. Clubs sending a team to a regional event, MUST notify the appropriate Event Chairperson NO LATER THAN ONE WEEK (7 days)PRIOR TO THE EVENT of their intention. A club may send only one team to a regional event. Individuals may participate in ONLY ONE NSA sponsored event. Failure to comply may result in loss of competition privileges. The first and second place finishers at each regional advance to the Championship. It is the responsibility of the continuing teams to notify the Championship Event Chairperson of continuation within 24 hours of completion of the regional.
2. Age - men and women 13-18 years of age in calendar year.
3. Each team participant MUST be a member of the Northeast Sailing Association or sailing association sponsoring them. That YC or SA must be a member in good standing in the NSA.
4. Each participant MUST bring to the regatta the following:
(a) a NSA Junior Race Entry Form, legibly completed and including all necessary information for all team members (including alternate)
and SIGNED BY A FLAG OFFICER OR ADULT RESPONSIBLE FOR THE TEAM.
(b) a completed Medical Form for EACH participant (including alternate) attached to the Entry Form and submitted to the Event
Chairman no later than the skippers' meeting.
(c) A US Coast Guard approved life jacket with a whistle attached, which they MUST wear.
Failure to comply with any or all of the above may result in the team not being allowed to race.
5. Attendance at the Skippers' Meeting is mandatory.
