                                                NSA REQUIREMENTS FOR PARTICIPATION
Failure of a team to meet ALL of these requirements will result in that team not being allowed to race.


1.     Clubs sending a team (ONE TEAM PER CLUB ONLY) to this event, MUST notify the Event
        Chairperson NO LATER THAN 
 JULY 3rd of their intention.  Failure to do so, may result in
        the team not being allowed to race.  Teams will be accommodated on a first come first served
        basis of two per region until July 5nd  after which the remaining spots will be filled
        based on the order in which teams indicated their intent to compete.  It is intent of host to
        allow in eight teams , if demand exists.  An individual who competes in the NSA Sears event
        may not also compete in the Area A Bemis or the Area A Smythe.

2.     Age - men and women 13 - 18 years of age in the calendar year.

3.     Each team participant MUST be a member of US Sailing (member ID number is required).
        The skipper must be a member of the yacht club or sailing association sponsoring the team
        and the crew members must be members os a YC or SA, all of which must be in good standing
        in the NSA. 

4.     Each team MUST bring to the regatta the following:
               (
a)    
a US Sailing Junior Race Entry Form, legibly completed and including all necessary
                   information for all team members (including alternate),
and SIGNED BY A FLAG
                         OFFICER OR AN ADULT RESPONSIBLE  FOR  THE TEAM.
              
(b)   
a completed Medical Form for EACH participant (including alternate) attached to the
                   Entry Form and submitted to the 
Event Chairperson no later than the skippers’
                   meeting.
           
(c)     a US Coast Guard approved life jacket with a whistle attached, which they MUST wear.

The entry fee of $35 per entrant for this Championship Event will be paid by the sponsoring clubs. NSA will bill each
club directly following the event.
