1. RULES 

1.1       This regatta is governed by the Rules as defined by the current Racing Rules of Sailing
            
RRS) and the current US SAILING Championship Conditions for the U.S. Women’s
            Sailing Championship and their Eliminations. Additional information is available at:

1.2       Racing rule 70.4 will be changed as follows: the right of appeal is denied because of 
            the
time limitation required to qualify for the national finals.

1.3       The class boat to be used will be the Yngling using a round robin format. Boats will be
            di
vided by SailMaine. Yngling class rules will not apply.

1.4.      RRS 60.1(a) is changed to prohibit a boat from protesting another boat for an alleged
           
breach of a class rule requiring class membership or imposing a weight limit.

1.5.      Grade 3 “Support Boats” applies for this event. No support boats are permitted. For

2. ELIGIBILITY

2.1       Any team representing clubs affiliated with the Northeast Sailing Association will be
           p
ermitted to enter the competition.

2.2       The number of crew shall be three (3) including the helm.

2.3       Women’s Championship Eligibility entrants may refer to Eligibility in the Conditions
            located
on the U.S. Sailing Championships web page at the following link:

2.4       The selection process for all competitors at the Area (Semi Finals) and Finals level is
            described in the “Conditions” for each event.

3. REGISTRATION

3.1       Competitors shall register in advance by July 16, 2009 by submitting their entry form
            by

4. FEES

4.1       A regatta fee of $50.00 payable to SailMaine covers incidental cost incurred by the
           host,
including meals and awards.

5. SCHEDULE OF EVENTS

9:00      Skipper’s Meeting
5:00      no race will start
** BBQ will occur one hour after the the racing has ended for the day.

6. SAILING INSTRUCTIONS - Final Sailing Instructions will be available at registration.

7. NUMBER OF RACES

7.1       The regatta will be conducted using a round-robin format. Each entry will race in each
            boat
one (1) time.

7.2        The maximum number of races is the number of entries.

7.3        Two (2) races shall constitute a regatta.

8. PRIZES - The winning team will receive prizes emblematic of the Adams Trophy

10. SCORING

10.1      Appendix A2 is modified such that all races will be scored for this event. The low point
            system will be used.
